Phi Phi islands is the biggest marine park in Thailand and it’s among one of the top tourist destinations in southern Thailand, due to its natural beauty and also the
film “The Beach” which was filmed here around 2000. We’ve seen rapid growth in the
number of customers here in the past few years, largely due to easy ferry connection to the already well-developed
Phuket area and the fast developing Krabi area. As compared to other touristic destinations, Phi Phi seems to have magic amongst youngsters it attracts far more young travellers (i.e. other touristic destinations around Thailand. It’s literally quite difficult to get bored living on the island besides scuba diving, there’re also lots of other activities that one can do i.e. Rock climbing, cliff jumping, kayaking, and of course, clubbing at night on the “party beach”. If one gets really bored of island life, Phuket is only two hours away by ferry and you could get pretty much “everything” there. The diving environment around phi phi islands
Koh Tao or Phuket. Locally we could see huge schools of yellow snappers literally everyday, and turtles and black-tip reef sharks are spotted very frequently. It’s not uncommon to see octopus and cuttlefish here and we’ve also got two dive sites where leopard sharks are spotted frequently. When the time is right, whale sharks can be spotted around by the really really lucky ones. Also we have two wreck dive sites around and one is visited very frequently. One wreck was put down last year so it’s quite in tact where wreck diving courses could be
conducted. It’s impressive
The visibility of the local dive sites varies a lot. When the time is right, we could enjoy 30+ meters’ visibility -yet occasionally we would have a visibility as bad as 5 meters as well. We conduct the confined water training in a shallow area next to the beach here. About us Profun divers
We are a newly established dive shop on phi phi island, however the core leaders of the shop have worked on phi phi for years already, knowing how everything works on the island locally. Before we started Profun Divers, we have operated, for one full year, as an “affiliated” business with one of the biggest dive shops on the island already, which
gave us a valuable chance to build a solid customer base. For us, every customer that choose to dive with us do so because they trust us - and we should make extra effort to take good care of them. Therefore we’ve developed a unique “Profun” instructor training system internally. For new and inexperienced
instructors, we offer dedicated training to them to help them get better prepared for
slightly more complicated teaching environment and for customers that learn slightly
slower than others. Also we have a monthly internal seminar among instructors to share and exchange teaching experiences new instructors could benefit from the sharing of
experienced instructors, and experienced instructors could benefit from the fresh and new ideas from new instructors. We believe that if we all try our best to take good care of customers, we will be in a all-win situation: The customers will be receiving good customer service + outstanding
training from instructors, instructors will be able to get higher income through more tips and more customers recommended by previous customers, and the dive shop will make more money as the number of customers grow.
