We are the first chess school in Thailand and the only school in Asia to be licensed and accredited by both the Ministry of Education and the World Chess Federation. Aside from our on-center workshops, we offer home tutoring, and have collaborated with over 37 International Schools in Thailand. Our international reach includes our IWICA branches in Bangladesh, and India. IWICA was founded in 2005
by the award-winning Chess Pioneer, Binita Shah, who introduced International Chess to schools in Thailand. Her highly decorated background includes being a World Chess Federation (FIDE) certified Chess Instructor, Arbiter, an appointed advisor to the Ministry of Education in ASEAN countries, and the Director of Global Chess Foundation, India, as well as the only Thailand delegate at the 2016 World Chess in School Conference in Armenia. We are currently based in Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Huahin, Pattaya, and Rayong. Our international reach includes branches in Bangladesh and India. We are part of the Thailand Chess Association, the Bangladesh National Sports Council, the All-India Chess Federation, and are supported by the Indo-Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Indian Association of Thailand, among many other organizations.

In 2017, IWICA’s Chess Program was Awarded for its Innovation and Contribution to Children’s Development at the Queen Elizabeth Convention Center in London
In 2020, IWICA’s Chess Program was recognized and awarded by the Indian Government.

PROGRAMS:
Aside from our award-winning Chess program, we provide workshops in Robotics and Mathemagics as well. Our multi-branch robotics program aims at enabling educational institutions towards creating an ecosystem to foster learning, creativity, and innovation in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). It has successfully developed Kindergarten Programmers aged 3-6 years old who know how to create and operate a motor through simple coding among many other skills, and learn the value that science and technology can bring to the 21st century. Our Mathemagics Program is based on our founder’s own studies into Vedic Maths and utilizes techniques and sutras that are designed to solve equations quickly and faster. Here students have developed a deeper understanding and a simpler view of complex problem solving, and have boosted their academic scores.
