อีกหนึ่งดีเทลของโปรเจคโรงเรียนนานาชาติ D-PREP คือรูปตั้งอาคารที่เรียบง่ายและเป็นระบบ
เนื่องจากการใช้งานภายในอาคารประกอบด้วยห้องเรียนและพื่นที่ที่หลากหลาก จึงต้องเข้าใจองค์ประกอบและการใช้งานพื้นที่ ซึ่งจะปรากฎในรูปตัดนั่นเอง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นงานระบบอาคาร ความต้องการแสงสว่าง ความสูงของฝ้าที่สัมพันธ์กับการใช้งาน หรือแม้แต่พื้นที่สีเขียวบนอาคาร ล้วนมีส่วนในการออกแบบรูปตั้ง สำหรับโปรเจคนี้ ได้เลือกใช้ระยะดิ่งของแนวหน้าต่างและกระถางต้นไม้เป็นเส้นนำสายตา สร้างความต่อเนื่องให้กับรูปตั้งทั้งโรงเรียน และกำหนดให้ความกว้างของช่องเปิดนั้นขึ้นอยู่กับการใช้งานของแต่ละพื้นที่
The elevation and section defines the building’s vertical alignment.
D-PREP international school features a simple systematic exterior facade, while accommodating a variety of interior space that requires different MEP system, level of natural light and green spaces which are primarily expressed through sections. The vertical alignment of window heights and planter boxes is conceived as leading lines that unify the overall elevation. Meanwhile, the width of open void varies according to the specific requirements of each space.

D-PREP International School โรงเรียนนานาชาติบนถนนบางนาตราด ด้วยรูปแบบอาคารที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ ทำให้มองเห็นและเป็นที่จดจำได้ง่าย
แต่ก่อนจะมาเป็นผลลัพธ์นี้ การออกแบบได้ผ่านขั้นตอน แนวคิด และความท้าทายมากมาย เนื่องจากโรงเรียนแห่งนี้ตั้งอยู่บนพื้นที่เพียง 5 ไร่ ประกอบกับความต้องการใช้งานพื้นที่ที่หลากหลาย จึงกลายมาเป็นโจทย์หลักสำหรับการออกแบบในขั้นตอนแรก
นอกจากการใช้งานแล้ว อีกหนึ่งปัจจัยของการออกแบบคือการสร้างเอกลักษณ์ให้กับโรงเรียน จาก Primary campus เดิม สู่ Secondary campus ใหม่ ยังคงสะท้อนภาพจำแรกเริ่มของโรงเรียน ซึ่งเป็นอาคารจั่วให้บรรยากาศคล้ายบ้านสำหรับเด็กเล็ก จนกลายมาเป็น บ้านใหญ่ 2 หลัง บนเนินขั้นบันได อย่างที่เห็นกันนั่นเอง
D-PREP International school is located on Bangna-Trad road. As the school design is unique, it’s easily seen and remembered.
To achieve this outcome, the design had been through many challenges. The site area is only 5 rais, but the program for the school is huge with variety of space. Therefore, it became the first issue of the process.
Besides functions, another design factor is a character of the school. As here is a new secondary campus, the design is aimed to remind the first primary campus in which its shape looks like a house for younger kids. As a result, the new campus then consists of two big houses on steps. Here is a diagram showing the process of this design.
