ARCHITECTURE: ปูนไม่หนัก ไม้ไม่เบา ตีความวัสดุเก่าบนสถาปัตยกรรมร่วมสมัยใน ‘Maibantat Design Office’
บัณฑิตทัศน์ ทสยันไชย สถาปนิกและผู้ก่อตั้งไม้บรรทัดดีไซน์ได้นำวัสดุจากบ้านหลังเก่ามาสร้างเป็นสำนักงานใหม่ของไม้บรรทัดดีไซน์ซึ่งมีลักษณะเป็น ‘บ้านครึ่งไม้ครึ่งปูน’ ที่มีความร่วมสมัยจากการหยิบจับคอนกรีตบล็อกและไม้เก่ามาเรียงร้อยเป็นภาษาใหม่ที่สะท้อนสัจจะวัสดุนั้นๆ
สำหรับบัณฑิตทัศน์ สัจจะวัสดุไม่ได้หมายแค่ถึงเรื่องของพื้นผิวหากแต่ยังหมายถึง tectonic ของวัสดุ ผนังไม้ที่ถูกตีชิดจึงสามารถมีความหนัก ทึบตันและปิดล้อม ในขณะที่บล็อกคอนกรีตที่เรียงสลับก็สามารถปรุโปร่งและดูเบาได้ พร้อมชี้ให้เห็นถึงความเป็นไปได้ในการตีความสถาปัตยกรรมพื้นถิ่น (Vernacular Architecture) ที่ไม่ได้หมายถึงความเชยหรือเก่าเสมอไป

Bandidtat Tosayanchai, founder and architect of Maibantat Design, repurposed salvaged materials from his family’s old house to construct his new studio. Through a contemporary lens, he reinvented the traditional 'half-wood, half-concrete house' by articulating a new way of utilizing salvaged wood and concrete blocks that honors the inherent honesty of the materials.
For him, material honesty is not merely about surface aesthetics, but also about the tectonics of the material itself. Thereby, tightly spaced timber walls can achieve a sense of weight, solidity, and enclosure, while staggered concrete blocks can appear porous and lightweight. This approach highlights the potential to reinterpret vernacular architecture, proving that it is not inherently old-fashioned or outdated.

PHOTO ESSAY: SOMETHING IN EVERYTHING
ภาพถ่ายชุด SOMETHING IN EVERYTHING จาก เปา-สุกฤษฎิ์ ปัจจันตดุสิต เป็นผลงานเชิงทดลองและสำรวจบนพื้นที่จริงในจังหวัดระยอง โดยใช้แผ่นฟิล์มในการบันทึกภาพและนำมาทดลองด้วยเทคนิค ‘ฟิล์มซุป’ (film soup) ที่ให้ผลลัพธ์ซึ่งต่างจากภาพปกติ
โดยสิ่งที่เขานำมาใช้ซุปฟิล์มนั้นล้วนเป็นของเหลวและสารเคมีปนเปื้อนซึ่งเขาได้ค้นพบในพื้นที่ น้ำทิ้งจากโรงงาน ขี้เถ้าของสารเคมี น้ำมันดิบที่รั่วไหลบนชายหาด ก่อให้เกิดภาพถ่ายที่สีสันผิดเพี้ยน ดูไม่ปกติ แต่บอกเล่าความเป็นจริงของปัญหาด้านมลพิษที่มีต้นตอจากโรงงาน และความผิดปกตินี้ก็ไม่ได้เพียงแต่เกิดขึ้นแต่ในแผ่นฟิล์มที่นำมาทดลอง หากแต่อาจสามารถทำให้เกิดความผิดปกติขึ้นได้ในร่างกายมนุษย์ได้เช่นเดียวกัน
เปา–สุกฤษฎิ์ ปัจจันตดุสิต หรือ SiiXTY-4 (64) ช่างภาพและศิลปินภาพถ่าย ปัจจุบันเป็นช่างภาพอิสระและศิลปินภาพถ่าย เปามีความสนใจในเรื่องของสิ่งแวดล้อม ร่องรอยการกระทำบางอย่าง และการตั้งคำถามถึงความเป็นมนุษย์

SOMETHING IN EVERYTHING is an experimental photo essay developed through fieldwork in Rayong. Working with photographic film, Sukrit Patjuntadusit employs a process known as ‘film soup’—a photography technique that uses peculiar liquids to create unpredictable effects.
For this series, Sukrit developed his film with residues of industrial harm: wastewater from factory drainage pipes, ash from chemical drums, and crude oil stains on the beach. The resulting photographs reveal the material trace of these effects. Colors become distorted. Although the images are perceived as anomalous and ambiguous, the message is loud and clear: what corrodes the film also has the capability to affect the human body.
Pao–Sukrit Patjuntadusit, aka SiiXTY-4 (64), is a freelance commercial and event photographer, as well as a photographic artist. In his artistic practice, Pao focuses on environmental issues, traces of human actions, and existential questions about humanity.
The exhibition ‘SOMETHING IN EVERYTHING’ is held from May 23 to June 23, 2026, and is open daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on the 2nd Floor of Fotoclub BKK.
