Back in high school, we were a group of guys who LOVED playing video games and hung out with each other everywhere we went. One day, we decided to start making video games. We needed a team name, so we decided to use an inside joke that we made in class – “TryHard” (not to be confused with the actual definition of the word). Why did we choose the word? I don’t have a solid answer. Somehow the name
“TryHard” clicks. Maybe it has something to do with embracing and reminding us of our teenage years and the different emotions and obstacles we faced as a team, or maybe it was simply funny. What’s up with the logo? It was designed by one of the members of TryHard. And no, it is not an “n”. It is actually a character in our native alphabet that symbolizes soldiers – that’s right, we served part-time in the military as a team during our high school years. HOW WELL IS TRYHARD DOING NOW? We graduated from high school! Sadly, we all went our separate ways towards our college life. But of course, we keep each other in touch. TryHard is now being run by one person only – me, that is. We plan to get back together to make our business official (with our own buildings and all), but that is after college. As of now, while the rest of the team is busy with their college lives, I am currently making my own video games in the name of TryHard. ABOUT ME. I had always LOVED making video games. The very first game engines that I used as a child was the Warcraft 3 World Editor. Currently I prefer to use Unity with Visual C# integration. I am also skilled with using Autodesk Maya for 3D modelling and animation purposes. Making short films is another one of my hobbies, as well as playing the guitar.
