This activity provides an opportunity for Thai and Myanmar youth, along with local communities, to exchange experiences, strengthen mutual understanding, reduce prejudice, and build social harmony.

แลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมชาติพันธุ์ เสริมสร้างการอยู่ร่วมกันของสังคมพหุวัฒนธรรม ใน “งานปอยส่างลอง ประจำปี 2569”

กิจกรรมนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ทางวัฒนธรรม การอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสันติในสังคมพหุวัฒนธรรม

เมื่อวันที่ 12 กุมภาพันธ์ 2026 ที่ผ่านมา เสมสิกขาลัย (SEM) ร่วมกับ Amnesty International Thailand และ Asia Justice and Rights - AJAR ได้จัดงานเปิดนิทรรศการศิลปะ “งอกงามท่ามกลางวิกฤต และสัจจะแสลงใจในเมียนมา” ณ ห้อง Exhibition Gallery ชั้น 3 หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (BACC) เพื่อถ่ายทอดความงดงามที่ทรงพลัง น่าเคารพ เป็นประจักษ์พยานหลักฐานของการต่อสู้และไม่ยอมจำนนของผู้คนในเมียนมาหลังเิดการรัฐประหารมากว่า 5 ปี ผ่านผลงานศิลปะหลากหลายแขนง

“ความหวังมีศิลปะเป็นประจักษ์พยานและหลักฐาน
เพลงจำนวนมากถูกรังสรรค์และเขียนขึ้นท่ามกลางการต่อสู้
สีและฝีแปรงทำหน้าที่รับใช้ศิลปิน
กล้องเก็บภาพถ่ายเก็บความทรงจำของชั่วขณะ แม้ว่าหลายๆ ครั้งอาจจะไม่ใช่ชั่วขณะที่น่าจดจำนัก”

วิชัย จันทวาโร ผู้จัดการโครงการเสมสิกขาลัย ตัวแทนผู้จัดงาน สะท้อนถึงช่วงเวลา กว่า 5 ปีของการต่อสู้เพื่อความเป็นธรรมชาวเมียนมา ที่ต้องเผชิญทั้งการสูญเสีย การพลัดถิ่น และการใช้ชีวิตในดินแดนที่ไม่คุ้นเคย ซึ่งหลายคนไม่รู้ว่าจะต้องอยู่ที่นี่ไปอีกนานแค่ไหน แต่ท่ามกลางวิกฤตการต่อสู้ยืนหยัดของผู้คนยังคงงอกงาม

“ขอให้การต่อสู้ของพวกเราประสบความสำเร็จ ประชาธิปไตยหยั่งรากมั่นคงทั้งไทยและเมียนมา และขอให้เราได้รับรัฐธรรมนูญที่ร่างโดยประชาชน!”

งานเปิดนิทรรศการยังได้รับเกียรติจาก อ.สุลักษณ์ ศิวลักษณ์ ผู้ร่วมก่อตั้งเสมสิกขาลัย กล่าวเปิดงานพร้อมส่งกำลังใจถึงประชาชนเมียนมา โดยแสดงความเชื่อมั่นว่าประชาธิปไตยจะกลับคืนสู่เมียนมาได้ในที่สุด

“ผมอยากให้กำลังใจ เผด็จการเป็นใหญ่ในพม่ามา 5 ปี แล้ว มันจะอยู่ไปได้อีกไม่นาน เราต้องเอาชนะมันให้ได้ แต่ต้องชนะมันโดยสันติวิธี โดยสุจริต ไม่ใช่วิธีกะล่อนโกงกินแบบที่พวกนั้นหรือนักการเมืองไทยทำ

ผมเชื่อเลยว่าประชาธิปไตยจะกลับมาสู่พม่า คนพม่าเป็นคนที่มีกึ๋น พม่าในที่นี้ผมหมายถึงคนทุกชนชาติพันธุ์ในประเทศ เมื่อเรารวมตัวกัน ใช้สติใช้ปัญญา ผมเชื่อเลยว่าเราจะได้ชัยชนะ

จะฉลองปีที่ 6 ที่ย่างกุ้ง ในประเทศพม่า แล้วพบกันที่นั่นครับ”

ภายในงานยังมีกิจกรรมบอร์ดเกมจาก Jesuit Refugee Service - JRS Thailand และการแสดงพิเศษจากศิลปินทั้ง ไทยและเมียนมา ที่ร่วมกันถ่ายทอดเสียงของการต่อสู้ผ่านศิลปะ ดนตรี และการแสดง สะท้อนให้เห็นว่าแม้ในช่วงเวลาวิกฤต ศิลปะและความสมัครสมานของประชาชนต่อประชาชนยังคงเป็นพื้นที่ของความหวังเสมอ

"Blooming in Crisis and Uncomfortable Truth in Myanmar"

On February 12, 2026, SEM together with Amnesty International Thailand and Asia Justice and Rights - AJAR hosted the opening of the art exhibition “Blooming in Crisis and Uncomfortable Truth in Myanmar” at the Exhibition Gallery, 3rd Floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). The exhibition presents powerful expressions through a wide range of artistic works that stand as testimony and evidence of the struggle and resilience of the people of Myanmar after the coup.

“Hope has art as its witness and evidence.
Many songs have been created and written in the midst of struggle.
Colors and brushstrokes serve the artists.
Cameras capture fleeting moments of memory—
even when those moments are not always ones we wish to remember.”

Wichai Juntavaro, Project Manager of SEM and representative of the organizers, reflected on more than five years of the Myanmar people’s struggle for justice. During this time, many have faced loss, displacement, and the challenge of living in unfamiliar lands—often without knowing how long they will have to remain there. Yet even in the midst of crisis, the determination and resilience of the people continue to grow.

“May our revolution succeed. May democracy take firm root in both Thailand and Myanmar, and may we one day have constitutions written by the people.”

The opening ceremony was also honored by the presence of Sulak Sivaraksa, co-founder of SEM, who officially opened the exhibition and offered words of encouragement to the people of Myanmar, with the belief that democracy will eventually return to Myanmar.

“I would like to offer encouragement. Dictatorship has dominated Myanmar for five years now, but it will not last much longer. We must defeat it—but we must do so through peaceful and honest means, not through deceitful or corrupt practices like those used by them or by some Thai politicians.

I truly believe democracy will return to Myanmar. The people of Myanmar are capable and thoughtful—and by ‘people of Myanmar’ I mean people of all ethnic groups in the country. When we unite and use wisdom, I believe we will achieve victory.

We will celebrate the 6th year in Yangon, Myanmar. See you there.”

The event also featured boardgame activity hosted by Jesuit Refugee Service - JRS Thailand and special performances by artists from both Thailand and Myanmar, who came together to express the voices of struggle through art, music, and performance. This collaboration reflected how, even in times of crisis, art and solidarity between people can continue the bloom of hope.
