𝐖𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲.

And here's what we're losing:

📉 The people who remember when things went wrong before

📉 The ones who can read a room in seconds

📉 Those who've navigated multiple recessions, technological revolutions, and organizational upheavals—and came out wiser

📉The generation that built the internet, pioneered remote work, and mastered the art of doing more with less

But somewhere along the way, we decided that grey hair means obsolete.

I'm raising this because I see it everywhere.

Brilliant professionals in their 50s are “offered” to retire early.

Talented colleagues passed over for promotions they're more than qualified for.

Friends are updating their LinkedIn photos to look younger and strategically removing graduation dates from their resumes.

This isn't paranoia—it's a pattern.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐲?

Research shows that strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and pattern recognition all peak in our 50s and 60s.

The very skills organizations desperately need are sitting in the people they're quietly phasing out.

𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭?

📈 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. Own it. When someone suggests you're "overqualified," translate that correctly: they're intimidated by your competence.

📈 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦. Learn the new tools, yes—but don't pretend you've forgotten everything that came before. That combination of legacy knowledge and current capability is your superpower.

📈 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. Write, speak, mentor, share. Make it impossible to overlook you. Ageism thrives in silence and invisibility.

The world needs what you know. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
