Here’s a little throw back of the black sticky rice and toasted rice sourdough that Chef Sareen used to make back in Melbourne.

A little flour, water, and a determined young chef, became the start of what is now Small Dinner Club.

That ritual turned into practice, which led to an idea and philosophy.

Today, every plate at SDC still carries the same spirit.

It started with a housewarming in the middle of an Australian winter. No culinary training, just a book on sourdough from the shelf that sparked curiosity.

That one loaf, baked on a whim, changed everything.

Now, it’s black sticky rice sourdough aged Thai wagyu, fermented chili, wild honey, black truffle.
