STEP AWAY FROM THE CROWD: A Life Changing Encounter With Jesus - ZACCHAEUS
📖 LUKE 19:1-10

- This sermon highlights how Zacharias (Zacchaeus) did not allow his limitations his height, status, or the crowd to stop him from pursuing Jesus;

- Instead, he made a deliberate effort to step away, climb higher, and seek a clearer view, demonstrating determination and spiritual hunger.

- His action positioned him for a life-changing encounter where Jesus saw him, called him personally, and chose to dwell with him, showing that God notices those who seek Him sincerely.

- The message emphasizes that the “crowd” represents anything that blocks our connection with Christ distractions, voices, or influences and encourages believers to separate from these to experience deeper fellowship.

- When Zacharias moved closer to Jesus, his perspective changed: he saw himself clearly, repented, and shifted from greed to generosity, proving that true encounter with Christ brings transformation, clarity, and a renewed way of seeing others.

- Ultimately, the sermon teaches that drawing near to Jesus brings personal change, restores purpose, and leads to a life that reflects His character.
