RLC ESWATINI | ALUM OF THE WEEK 🌟
This week, we proudly celebrate Samkeliso, a passionate changemaker whose journey is rooted in a deep commitment to fighting food insecurity and uplifting rural communities in Eswatini. 🌱🇸🇿
A graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and BioSystems Engineering from the University of Eswatini, Samkeliso’s purpose was clear from a young age. Unlike many children who dreamt of becoming doctors, pilots, or engineers, his dream was simple yet powerful: to help his community produce enough food to feed their families.
His journey was not without challenges. For seventeen years, he balanced school with early mornings spent walking over a kilometer to plough and w**d maize fields—sometimes arriving late to class. These experiences shaped his determination to find lasting solutions to food scarcity in his rural community.
Driven by this purpose, Samkeliso pursued agriculture at university to equip himself with the knowledge and skills needed to make a meaningful impact. In 2018, after graduating, he was selected to join the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) YALI Regional Leadership Center Southern Africa under the Business and Entrepreneurship Development track, where he gained valuable skills in entrepreneurship and business management.
Today, Samkeliso is putting his vision into action. He has established a poultry project in his community, producing eggs and selling them at affordable prices. His initiative is not only improving access to nutritious food but also contributing to local economic empowerment.
Samkeliso’s story is a powerful testament to resilience, purpose, and leadership in action—proving that one person’s dream can spark transformation across an entire community.
👏 Join us in celebrating his inspiring contribution to food security, entrepreneurship, and community development in Eswatini.

🌟 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK: TEMAVE MUNDE LEADS WITH PURPOSE 🌱
Temave Munde stands out as a shining example of youth leadership, innovation, and community impact in the Kingdom of Eswatini. As a dynamic entrepreneur and passionate changemaker, she continues to inspire a new generation to rise, create, and lead with purpose.
As Co-Founder and Director of Pop Farm Property Limited Teavee Temave Munde is making meaningful strides in sustainable agriculture. Her work in vegetable production not only contributes to food security but also promotes environmentally conscious farming practices that support long-term community development and economic resilience.
Her passion extends far beyond business. As a dedicated Social Mentor, Temave invests her time and energy into empowering young people with the tools, mindset, and confidence needed to succeed. In 2020, she founded the Fonteyn Youth Savings Association—an impactful initiative designed to encourage a culture of saving among youth while providing access to small loans to kickstart entrepreneurial ventures. Through this platform, many young people are finding pathways out of unemployment and into self-sufficiency.
Temave’s leadership journey also includes serving as Vice Chairperson of the Mbabane Chapter of the Eswatini Youth Chamber of Commerce, where she played a vital role in advocating for youth participation in business and leadership spaces.
A proud graduate of The YALI Regional Leadership Center Southern Africa (RLC SA), where she specialized in Leadership in Business and Entrepreneurship, Temave has further strengthened her capacity to lead and influence positive change.
Through her work, Temave Munde continues to champion youth empowerment, agricultural development, and sustainable economic growth. Her story is one of vision, resilience, and impact—truly deserving of this week’s Alumni Spotlight
