On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Al-Midan Center team in Aleppo organized a special day for children, featuring interactive recreational activities, a group dance performance, and gift distribution, and ending with the distribution of candles. This event is part of Dorcas Organization’s efforts to support mental well-being and bring joy to children during the holidays.

متى أقول لا؟ من أستطيع أن أطلب المساعدة؟ وكيف أعبّر عمّا أشعر به؟

أسئلة قريبة من حياة الفتيات كانت محور جلسات التوعية في مركز دوركاس المجتمعي في دير الزور، حيث شاركت الفتيات في نقاشات وأنشطة تفاعلية حول الحماية الذاتية، أهمية التعليم، والتوعية بالعنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي.
من خلال الحوار، تعلّمت المشاركات طرقًا للتعبير عن احتياجاتهن بثقة، وفهم مشاعرهن، والتفكير بخيارات أكثر أمانًا ووعيًا في حياتهن اليومية.
كل مساحة آمنة تبدأ بسؤال يُسمع، وصوت يُحترم، وثقة تنمو خطوة بخطوة.

When can I say no? Who can I ask for help? How can I express what I feel?

These questions shaped the awareness sessions at the Dorcas Community Center in Deir ez-Zor, where girls took part in interactive discussions and activities on self-protection, the importance of education, and awareness of gender-based violence.
Through dialogue, participants explored ways to express their needs with confidence, understand their emotions, and think through safer and more informed choices in their daily lives.

Every safe space begins with a question being heard, a voice being respected, and confidence growing step by step.

تعلن منظمة دوركاس – سوريا عن فتح باب التسجيل في برنامج التدريب المهني لتمكين الشباب في منطقة الميدان – حلب، بهدف دعم الشباب والشابات لاكتساب مهارات عملية تعزز فرصهم في سوق العمل وتحقيق الاستقلال الاقتصادي.

من يمكنه التقديم؟

التسجيل مخصص للشباب والشابات الذين:
العمر: من 18 إلى 30 سنة
السكن: الميدان
التفرغ الكامل لحضور التدريب
اجتياز مقابلة مع فريق دوركاس

كيف وأين يتم التسجيل؟

التسجيل حضوري فقط في دوركاس الميدان: شارع المخفر مقابل كنيسة البشارة.

Dorcas – Syria announces the opening of registration for its Vocational Training Programme for Youth Empowerment in Al-Midan, Aleppo. The programme aims to support young people in gaining practical skills that can strengthen their opportunities in the labour market and help them work towards economic independence.

Who can apply?
Registration is open to young women and men who meet the following criteria:

Age: 18 to 30 years old
Residence: Al-Midan
Full availability to attend the training
Passing an interview with the Dorcas team

How and where to register?
Registration is in person only at Dorcas Al-Midan, located on Al-Makhfar Street, opposite the Annunciation Church.
