VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – Branch Manager

Frontier Microfinance Limited is a privately owned institution providing microfinance services to low income people in South Sudan on a sustainable basis. Frontier Microfinance Limited is inviting applications from South Sudanese nationals of good character to fill the position of Branch Manager. The successful candidate will be based in Magwi with a possibility of being transferred to other areas in South Sudan where Frontier Microfinance Limited has operations. The purpose of the job is to provide management oversight and implementing the business plan of the institution.

The Branch Manager will work under the supervision of the Managing Director or his/her designate. The successful candidate he will oversee the smooth running of the branch and implementing the objectives of the MFI.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the recruitment , training and coaching of branch staff;
Take the lead in ensuring all branch targets are met ;
Supervise the credit committee;
Monitor the loans repayment and supervise arrears recovery;
Make sure that the policies are understood and enforced in the branch and conduct regular internal controls;
Manage all the branch resources especially the assets;
Control operational expenses and, plan the recruitments and investments needed to expand the branch’s operations;
Provide financial and operational reports to the Directors and other stakeholders
Core Competences:
Responsible for the good understanding and implementation of policies, methodologies and procedures in the branch and beyond;
Teaching skills, maturity, and enthusiasm, ability to work independently, interpersonal, coaching, team work and management skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or business related field;
Experience: at least 2 years of significant relevant professional experience.
Sound knowledge of microfinance and principles of banking is an added advantage;
A
bility to prepare reports and make presentations;
Work experience in South Sudan a must
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and internet use
Demonstrate effective management, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work under pressure to complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
Age requirement: 25-35 years old
