Over 340,592 persons moved between four East African countries.

This was confirmed by Alak Daniel Atem the Program Assistant Migrants Manager at IOM.
He was speaking during A one day Harmonised Regional Responses to the Refugee Crisis in South Sudan has been held in Juba.

Mr. Alak Daniel says a total 59,139 person moved between Uganda and South Sudan of which 28,305 are South Sudanese returning to the country. The main reason for the movement is basically for family reason.

Meanwhile From January to September, a total of 23,306 people moved between South Sudan and Kenya with 16,832 incoming from Kenya due to food insecurity and displacement.
258, 147 have crossed into South Sudan with majority being Sudanese while South Sudanese are returnees and this is due to insecurity and conflict in Sudan.

Meanwhile on his part, Rt. Rev. Dr. Zachariah Manyok Biar the Diocesan Bishop Wanglei Diocese says the main factor of the movement of migrants is the current Aid cut by the USA government which affecting livelihood of Refugees.

The Diocesan Bishop however say the Church has step in to support internally displaced person and returnees who are affected by floods.

The one day panel discussion organized by Talent Initiative for Development TIDE and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung was aimed at develop a shared understanding of the drivers and impacts of the mixed migration flows, To identify the specific policy, operational, and data-sharing gaps that hinder effective national and Regional responses arising from these movements.

Over 500,000 people are affected by floods across the country this according to the United Nations office for the coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

UNOCHA says Flooding continues to impact communities and heighten protection risks in the country, particularly for children.

It says as of 25 September, an estimated 592,686 people have been affected by flooding across 25 counties in six states, with Jonglei and Unity accounting for more than 87 per cent of the total.

The Floodwaters have damaged homes, farmland, and critical infrastructure, severely disrupting livelihoods and limiting access to basic services and humanitarian supply routes.

UNOCHA however says despite the devastating impact of the floods, partners continue to deliver life-saving assistance.

STOP ENGAGING IN TRIBALISM, YOUTH URGED

The chairperson of South Sudan Youth Union has called on the youth to distance from tribalism in order to attain a peaceful South Sudan.

Paride Taban Lakasomoi speaking during a one day Youth Position paper on federal governance workshop in Juba urged Young people not to engage in tribal sentiments.

Mr. paride Taban says it’s unfortunate to see young people supporting public figures who committee crime in public spaces on tribal lines.

The SSYU chairperson said for South Sudan to move forward, Youth should start speaking opening about the wrongs happening in the country.

A two weeks Obstetric Fistula Medical Camp concluded in Juba on Thursday.

The camp organized by the ministry of health and supported by Amref health Africa and other partners saw a total of 50 women screened.

33 women among the 50 were operated while 17 others are still under review. The two weeks camp was to address one of the most pressing health challenges rural women face in the country.

Olore Peter Program Manager Amref Health Africa appreciated the efforts of the team for a successful two weeks camp and plugged the organizations continued support for such camps across the country.

Obstetric fistula is a medical condition in which a hole develops in the birth canal as a result of childbirth. This can be between the va**na and re**um, ureter, or bladder. It can result in incontinence of urine or f***s. Complications may include depression, infertility, and social isolation.
