Meet Alek Majok Loch Ajok, a 25-year-old South Sudanese and an early-career professional with a strong interest in humanitarian and development work. She is an intern with the South Sudan NGO Forum through the Swiss Development & Cooperation Internship Program.

Alek is currently in the last month of her four-month Procurement Internship with Cordaid. She works closely with the procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams. This experience allows her to learn by doing and to apply what she studied in real humanitarian work. These include preparing Procurement Requests (PRs), organizing and filing documents, and supporting warehouse verification of supplies.

She has also taken part in coordination meetings, which helped her understand donor requirements, accountability, and teamwork between organizations.

The South Sudan NGO Forum remains committed to supporting youth through skills development and meaningful opportunities that help shape future leaders.

On Tuesday, the South Sudan NGO Forum, in partnership with BBC Media Action South Sudan concluded a two-day Content Creation and Social Media Management training that brought together communication professionals from over 20 member NGOs.

Through interactive sessions on storytelling, photography, videography, design, and digital strategies, participants gained both theoretical and practical skills to enhance the visibility and impact of their organizations’ work.

These skills will be vital to strengthen their capacity in developing compelling content and managing social media effectively.
