CEO YOKYIEEN SPOKE ON THE OCCASION OF INTERNATIONAL LABOR DAY.

Today, as we mark , I speak to you not only as the CEO of RIAL MEDIA, but as a fellow South Sudanese who deeply respects the dignity, resilience, and sacrifices of our workers—both at home and across the diaspora.

This day is not just a celebration; it is a reminder. A reminder that the strength of South Sudan lies in the hands of its workers—the teachers shaping minds, the farmers feeding the nation, the journalists informing the public, the healthcare workers saving lives, the builders, drivers, traders, and every citizen striving daily against all odds.

To the people of South Sudan: your labor matters. Your struggle is seen. Your contribution is the backbone of our nation’s survival and future growth.

But let us be honest—celebration alone is not enough. We must demand better. Better working conditions. Fair wages. Respect for human dignity. Opportunities for youth. Protection for women in the workplace. Inclusion for persons with disabilities.

Accountability from institutions. And above all, a system that rewards effort, not connections.
At RIAL MEDIA, we stand firmly with the workers. We commit to using our platform to amplify your voices, expose injustices, and advocate for fairness and progress in every sector of our society.

To our brothers and sisters in the diaspora: your labor abroad continues to sustain families and uplift communities back home. You are an essential part of this nation’s story, and your sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Let this Labour Day ignite a renewed spirit—a spirit of unity, hard work, and determination to build a just, peaceful, and prosperous South Sudan.

The future of this country is not in speeches—it is in the hands of its workers.

Happy Labour Day.
— Yokyieen Akot, the CEO
