Official Clarification Regarding Luac Tournament Decision

This statement serves to clarify the recent decision made in relation to the Luac tournament.

The ruling was a mutual consensus reached between Kogga FF and the Tournament Committee.

We wish to clarify that Kogga is not disqualified from the upcoming tournament. The specific ruling applies only to its eligibility to play for the third-place position against Mut.

The Committee acknowledges that there were technical errors in the match between Alier and Kogga, which were a factor in this decision.

We conclude by assuring all parties that Kogga remains in full support of the tournament and its spirit of fair competition.

SPLM Jonglei Lawmakers Call for Removal of Governor Dr Riak G*i Kok

Juba, Monday, 29 December 2025, SPLM Members of Parliament from Jonglei State have called for the removal of Governor Dr. Riak G*i Kok, citing his failure to contain worsening insecurity in the state.

The call was made during a meeting on Monday between a delegation of SPLM legislators from the Transitional National Legislative Assembly and the Council of States, representing Jonglei State and the Pibor Administrative Area, and SPLM Secretary General Cde. Dr. Akol Paul in Juba.

Speaking after the meeting, the Chairperson of the Jonglei State SPLM Parliamentary Caucus, Hon. Cde. Mary Nyawulang, said the lawmakers briefed the party leadership on ongoing security and political challenges and urged urgent party intervention.

She also appealed to communities, especially the youth, to refrain from violence and embrace peace as the country prepares for the New Year.

The delegation thanked the SPLM leadership and national legislature for their continued engagement in addressing the situation in Jonglei and Pibor.
