𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 - President Salva Kiir Mayardit received a comprehensive security briefing from Defence Minister Gen. Chol Thon Balok regarding the current security situation across the country, describing the situation as relatively stable, particularly around the capital Juba, Western Equatoria, Ruweng, and the eastern parts of Upper Nile State.

The Minister reaffirmed the South Sudan People's Defence Forces' (SSPDF) commitment to fulfilling its constitutional mandate to safeguard the nation's territorial integrity and ensure the safety and property of its citizens. He emphasized the armed forces' significant role in implementing the provisions of the Revitalized Peace Agreement, which is pivotal in promoting lasting peace and cooperation among South Sudan's diverse communities.

Gen. Chol further highlighted that sustained efforts by security forces and the government are crucial for creating a peaceful environment as the nation continues its journey towards achieving long-term stability and peace.
