Farm today is based in kismayo-Jubaland state of Somalia and has ability to implement agricultural development projects in collaboration with national and international agencies. It was created as a response to the lack of agricultural infrastructures from the chaos of the following unrest in 1992, which caused the collapse and destruction of Somali farming and agricultural systems. Farm Today is mandated to combat hunger and rural poverty in the low-income food-deficit regions of Somalia and to improve the livelihoods of rural poor people on a sustainable basis.
