Hosting of the first SHADE mini project intervention show in Kavuyama Yawei chiefdom on the 19th May 2025. Present during the event were the Chiefdom Speaker, Head of Section Chiefs, one Board member who chaired the event, Town Chiefs of each of the 12 operating communities and 2 CFMC chairpersons Deputies and SHADE staff. The event was climaxed by project updates declaration of purpose, statements, questions and answer session and presentation of certificate with financial incentives.. A total 71 long bags (shake hand).were handed over to SHADE by the communities. All 12 communities confirmed that the community forests are still intact and sustainably managed. Most of the communities have now raised over SLe650000 with Malema confirming SLe95,000 in their House Households Loans and Savings Scheme (HoLSS).

SHADE Hosts Validation Workshop in Fintonia Karene District

SHADE successfully concluded a one-day validation workshop in Fintonia town. The event brought together key stakeholders including community members, the Town Chief, partners, and other important local authorities.

Together, we reviewed and validated crucial findings to strengthen community development efforts.
