I was fortunate to volunteer for the 2025 International Youth Day community outreach led by Secure Her Empowerment for Peace( SHE4Peace ) in partnership with over 22 youth-led groups like Creative Hub Africa, African Youth Network etc..... Together, we brought the celebration to Susan’s Bay under the theme “Youths for the SDGs: Localizing the SDGs for National Development.”

The program, entirely youth-funded, began with a Training of Trainers session on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), equipping participants with practical knowledge and strategies to take meaningful action. On International Youth Day, we held a vibrant community dialogue, engaged residents on SDGs 3, 5, 12, and 16, and even enjoyed a spirited female football match between volunteers and local youth teams.

It was more than just a celebration, it was a step toward empowering communities, building skills, and creating lasting impact.
