Last night, It was an honor to join my fellow Sierra Leoneans in Edmonton, alongside our esteemed Ministers and Parliamentarians, for the vital Town Hall meeting organized by the Sierra Leone Association of Alberta. As First Lady and President of OAFLAD, my commitment to human capital development, healthcare, and gender empowerment remains unwavering. However, those national advancements could not achieve their full potential without the active partnership of our global community. Your energy, intellect, and resources are indispensable assets to our national growth, reminding us that our collective identity transcends borders.

Our dialogue was a strategic step toward fostering deeper collaboration and creating structured pathways for your engagement in Sierra Leone's future. We were there to listen to your experiences, understand your challenges, and explore how to better integrate your insights into national policymaking. Effective governance requires a continuous, open channel of communication between the state and its citizens. By aligning your innovative ideas with our national development agendas, we ensured that the diaspora moved from the periphery to the very center of our national conversation.

As we looked ahead, I urged each of you to view yourselves as active ambassadors of Sierra Leone’s transformation. The concerns and aspirations you shared during the meeting will directly inform our approach back home, ensuring your voices carry weight in the chambers of decision-making. Let that meeting mark the beginning of a renewed partnership built on mutual respect and a shared vision. Together, we will continue to build a resilient, prosperous nation for every Sierra Leonean, at home and abroad.
