A Respectful Question to Sylvia Olayinka Blyden

Sylvia Olayinka Blyden has built a reputation as a journalist and politician who rarely remains silent on matters of public interest. She has consistently spoken out and demanded accountability on issues that capture national attention.

That is why many Sierra Leoneans are surprised by her apparent silence on the Admire alleged gold fraud case. On issues where she would normally be vocal and engaged, she now appears absent from the conversation.

This is not an attack. It is simply a question about consistency. If transparency and accountability should apply equally to all, then many citizens are wondering:

Why the silence on this case?

This is how you know the system is rotten. Someone is reportedly invited for questioning or arrested in a serious case, yet up to now there is no official statement, no report, and no transparency.

When a poor street boy is caught stealing, the authorities rush to release names, photos, and press statements. But when the case involves someone believed to have connections, everything suddenly goes quiet.

The silence is exactly why many people believe there are two laws in this country one for ordinary citizens and another for the well-connected. If there is nothing to hide, then tell the public the truth. Silence only fuels suspicion and destroys trust.Salone Gossip ReloadedTruth MediaMohamed Kamarainba MansaraySylvia Olayinka Blyden
