Sierra Leone joined other countries to commemorate World Hygiene Day with the theme "Promoting knowledge and capacity building of health and care workers for infection prevention and control, including hand hygiene." This year, we're highlighting the crucial role of education and training in equipping health workers with the skills to safeguard public health. Our focus is on innovative training programmes that prioritise infection prevention and control, particularly hand hygiene, to elevate healthcare practices. Together, let's empower our health heroes to protect themselves, their patients, and our communities through impactful training initiatives.
