Over 4000 Sierra Leoneans work on foreign owned industrial fishing vessels on Sierra Leonean waters. These men provide the crucial labour for the sector, yet they say they work under deplorable conditions from mainly Chinese crews who subject them to verbal and physical abuse.
They have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike action until a set of their demands are met.
