How can junior frontend developers break into the industry? It seems almost impossible right now...
We asked our educator in Frontend Development, Rob Chamberlain to share his perspective:
"Problem solvers are always in demand. Going forward developers will have the benefit of using tools such as LLMs to help generate answers, so an understanding of the fundamental logic of ot only code but the modern day coding environment is essential for even junior position.
Employers want junior system architects rather than devs, engineers who know how to identify problems, and evaluate solutions until they find the most efficient solution.
Developing a portfolio that shows ‘here is the problem, here was my solution’ is what employers want to see. They want to see the ability to research solution using existing technologies - an understanding of *why* a tech stack is as selected is more important than how it works."
