How to compare EPDs the right way

Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) give you detailed, verified information about a product’s environmental footprint - including emissions, energy use and water consumption.

But be careful: EPDs for different product types aren’t always directly comparable because of differences in function, lifecycle stages and calculation assumptions.

For accurate sustainability decisions, check that EPDs use the same methodologies and consistent data, and compare products within the same category.
