This week the DPF held online and in person forums for Inspecting and Superintending Ranks, to hear directly from members and to provide an update on how we are representing you.

Members raised serious concerns about pension delays, uncertainty around timelines, and the impact on families and ill‑health retirees.

Other matters raised included pay parity, promotions process, allowances, and wider resourcing and demand pressures. Please do continue to raise any concerns so they can be captured and followed up.

We are grateful to all who contributed candidly at the forums. Your feedback directly shapes our priorities and how we represent you in our ongoing discussions with the Force.

The DPF was proud to attend today's Ministry of Defence Police Pass Out Parade, where we celebrated the achievements of the Force's newest officers.

Our National Chair had the privilege of presenting the Academic Achievement Award, recognising exceptional performance throughout recruit training. The award reflects the hard work, dedication and professionalism demonstrated during an intensive training programme.

Pass Out Parades are an important milestone, marking the start of a policing career dedicated to protecting Defence people, assets and infrastructure. Every officer passing out today should be immensely proud of what they have achieved.

On behalf of the DPF, congratulations to all award recipients and to every new officer joining the Force. We look forward to representing and supporting you throughout your careers.

This World Wellbeing Week, we're encouraging members to take a moment to focus on their mental, physical and financial wellbeing.

In a new article on the DPF website, our Wellbeing Portfolio Lead, Claire Batt MBE, discusses some of the challenges currently affecting policing, including stress, financial pressures, work-life balance and the importance of seeking support early.

The article also highlights warning signs that someone may be struggling and outlines the wellbeing, financial and crisis support available to our members.

Looking after your own wellbeing is an important part of being able to support colleagues, family and the Defence communities we serve.
