Asafo flags, locally called "frankaa", are paraded on festive occasions by men's "military" companies among the Fante people of coastal Ghana. This stone nog structure in Anomabo is an old temperance cistern which was constructed by King Ghartey IV.
It historically functioned as the first waterworks system in the Gold Coast.

Anomabo has a great history and we need to preserve our history 🇬🇭
