UNITY STATE GOVERNMENT CONDEMNS DEADLY ATTACK IN RUBKONA COUNTY, CALLS FOR CALM AND JUSTICE

The Government of Unity State strongly condemns the horrific attack that occurred in Hopro, Payangai, Budang Payam of Rubkona County on the night of 2nd June 2026, which claimed innocent lives, left many injured, and resulted in the loss of livestock. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wish a speedy recovery to those receiving treatment. We call upon all affected communities to remain calm and refrain from any actions that may escalate tensions. The government is actively investigating the incident and is working closely with relevant authorities to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
