Which I love everyday!

I was lucky enough to:

✘ Moderate: “Women in Tech Panel”
✘ Moderate: “Women in HR” Event
✘ Welcome Speech Women In Tech Awards

My favourite takeaway was something Elena said: “We are 5 women talking up here today about gender diversity. Why does it just have to be women? Why don’t men discuss diversity?”

Well done to all the speakers, organisers and winners. One of my favourite events in a long time 😍

2 years ago I won my first award.

6 years ago I got my first corporate job.

5 years ago I got my first promotion.

4 years ago I was made redundant.

3 years ago I started my first business.

2 years ago I started making money.

1 year ago I started gaining huge traction.

This year, we celebrate how far we’ve come;

With huge tech.
Global partners.
Major investors.

Hindsight gives perspective: Life may not seem “successful” all the time, but when you zoom out it’s pretty great 😎

Ambition doesn’t grow companies;

Focus does.

→ Founders love going A-Z.
→ When really we should be looking to go A-B.

They’ll look to build all this big stuff with lack of focus or commercialisation.

First thing we should be thinking of as founders is “where is the money at”?

Working on things that move the needle and not just “look good” is at the heart of any successful company.

Like “brand awareness”.
Crikey; you need to go TO your customers.
Not put out a useless post in hopes of attracting them.

So let’s stop hoping and focus on go-GETTING. 📣
