started construction of our state-of-the-art L**e Oil Blending Plant in the nation’s capital of Riyadh, which began production in October 1985 and was officially inaugurated by His Royal Highness King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the then Governor of Riyadh, in March 1987. The L**e Oil Blending Plant epitomizes our vision and mission – two guiding forces that drive our work, push our limits, and help us live up to our core values. They’re also what enabled us to dominate the Motor Oil and Diesel Engine Oil Categories since 1987 with our legacy products Shell Super Plus and Shell Rotella. In fact, throughout the years, we’ve grown our innovative portfolio that includes the Shell Helix passenger car motor oil and Shell Rimula heavy-duty diesel engine oil featuring Shell’s renowned Gas-to-Liquids technology - a revolutionary process that converts natural gas into crystal-clear base oil. Ensuring enhanced viscosity and less engine friction, this base oil helps improve engine cleanliness, reduce maintenance costs, and increase fuel economy. However, our vast product portfolio also boasts a strong and highly advanced range of industrial lubricants specifically designed for industries such as Construction, Fleet, Power & Cement, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Manufacturing, and Agriculture. Ensuring increased operational performance, these oils and greases bring substantial savings to our partnering companies by helping to maximize equipment efficiency, prolong vehicle life, and reduce machine downtime. In fact, the cutting-edge formulation of our oils ensures that any engine functions properly.
