Job Title: Helpdesk Support Engineer

Location: Riyadh, KSA

Department: IT Support
Reports To: IT Support Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Helpdesk Support Engineer with 4 to 5 years of experience to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and networking. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Technical Support: Provide first and second level support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in person.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktop/laptop computers, printers, and other peripherals.
• Network Support: Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• System Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and procedures using the ticketing system.

Customer Service
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime.
• Training: Provide training and support to end users on hardware, software, and network related topics.

Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for improving IT support processes and implementing best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless IT operations and support.

Required Qualifications
• Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications are preferred.

Technical Skills
• Proficient in Windows and Mac OS environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and equipment (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote desktop tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

Soft Skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with VoIP systems and telecommunication technologies.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
