Alḥamdulillāh, I just finished speaking at a press conference at City Hall on behalf of NWICC, standing firmly with our Somali American brothers and sisters during this challenging moment.

Our message was clear:
🟦 Somali Minnesotans are not a threat.
🟦 They are an essential, beautiful, and inseparable part of our state.
🟦 No family deserves to live in fear because of rhetoric or raids.

As Muslims, we are commanded to uphold dignity and justice for all.
Allah reminds us:

وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ
“Indeed, We have honored every child of Adam.” (17:70)

Today, we honored that divine command.
NWICC will continue to be a home of compassion, safety, and solidarity for every member of our community.

May Allah protect our families, grant us unity, and allow us to be a source of light and strength.
