"Promoting innovation and technology to stop the seed potato leak" is the theme for the ongoing potato week event. This is done with farmers in mind and developing channels that promote information, knowledge and quality potato seed accessibility. We celebrate our partners' initiatives and efforts towards this event's success.

To promote organic farming, the SDGP potato project constantly recommends that farmers use compost manure made from animal waste and other organic residues. Members of farmer study groups of the COVMB cooperative saved money to buy some livestock animals for members who did not have them. This is a great initiative that stems from the knowledge gained.

Aimable visited different demo plots installed by Spf-ikigega Seed-potato Fund for this season. The potatoes are growing well and we are excited to see the yield at the end of the season
