PICO Rwanda’s mission is to equip grassroots leaders in Rwanda to rebuild community and democratic institutions and address issues of justice, health, education and poverty. Its goal is to strengthen community capacity by supporting independent grassroots organizations that are built around faith communities, focusing on justice, sustainable peace and equitable development. We are one of three PICO International projects, one of the largest, most diverse grassroots federations in the USA.

PICO-Rwanda was invited to rural RUSUMO by leaders in order to receive training, which led the community to determine they would build a health clinic within just eight months.
Leaders negotiated with the government to secure land and gathered 750 tons of stones for the clinic's foundation. The work was successful, and now community have a modern Clinic working.
