Due to Nyungwe Marathon this Saturday 9/03, NR10 crossing Nyungwe National Park - Rwanda will be closed from this evening till Saturday 15h.

Plan accordingly if driving between Huye District, Nyamagabe District and Nyamasheke District, Rusizidistrict, or between Rwanda Southern Province and Rwanda Western Province

Tour du Rwanda🚴🏿 stage 5️⃣ will use NR 2 between Musanze District & City of Kigali.

This main road will be closed from 9h to 13h30.
Plan your trip accordingly, use Waze navigation app and follow Rwanda National Police instructions.

To avoid the closure:
⬆️people driving northbound from City of Kigali to Musanze District and planning to use this route should leave Kigali before 7h, or after 13h30.
⬇️People driving southbound from Musanze to Kigali should leave before 9h or follow the race after 11h30.

Roads will be closed in the morning for the race:
BK Arena - Sonatube - Kicukiro - Kanogo - Convention Center.

Rwanda National Police has informed that the NR 2 road City of Kigali - Musanze District is currently closed in Gakenke District, Nemba sector, due to a landslide.
Waze will show the closure in real time, and give you alternative itineraries.

This Saturday 20 Jan, from 9h till 14h, Rwanda Cycling Federation organises in City of Kigali. 🚴🏿

Roads around Remera, Nyarutarama and Kibagabaga will be closed during the event.

This Friday evening, from 18h till 21h, City of Kigali will NOT organise a Christmas Night Run around the Convention Center. Roads in the area will NOT be closed.

Now, Waze navigation app is clearly indicating official Rwanda Transport Development Agency Road numbers. Hopefully road signs across the country will soon be updated to reflect this official naming .

City of Kigali will be making rehabilitation works on KN 3 Rd between Sonatube and Prince House / Remera from 11 Nov till 2 Dec.
One carriage way will be closed and only 1 lane will be available for traffic in both direction.
