“How do I disconnect from work when I am out of the office?”
A question many of us wrestle with, but the answer is rarely a quick-fix formula. During one of our wellness workshops, a clinician responded with a surprising answer: “Come see me at the clinic.”
Why? Because your inner world is unique, and your mental well-being deserves support shaped around your story, not a generic template.
The moment you ask yourself, “How do I take better care of myself?” the journey has already begun.
Read our latest article, Come to the Clinic, and discover why personalized guidance is one of the most honest and caring forms of support we can offer ourselves.
Help is always within reach.

Work was never meant to cost us our mental health!
This International Labour Day, we are reminded that behind every title, every role, every position, there is a person. A person with limits, emotions, responsibilities, and a life beyond the workplace. Thriving at work should not come at the expense of our well-being. In fact, it is when people feel seen, valued, and supported that they are able to truly show up and do meaningful, impactful work.
Globally, 1 in 8 people lives with a mental health condition. In Rwanda, workplaces are increasingly facing rising levels of stress, burnout, and the silent weight of unaddressed mental health challenges. Long working hours, stigma, and limited access to structured support continue to shape how people experience work, often in ways that go unseen and unspoken.
Beyond the human impact, the cost is also economic. Depression and anxiety alone cost the global economy over $1 trillion every year in lost productivity. Poor mental health affects performance, increases absenteeism and presenteeism, and weakens organizational resilience. Simply put, when mental health is ignored, both people and systems suffer. This is why building compassionate workplaces is not optional anymore. It is essential. It requires all of us: leaders, teams, institutions, and individuals to play a role in creating environments where people feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Because the future of work depends on how well we take care of the people within it.
