*JOHN 10:7-9*
It is the will of God for the gospel to be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come (Matthew 24:14). It is God who is the accomplisher of this Word.
The woman caught in adultery had done nothing except sin. She had done nothing for her sin to be solved but when she was brought before Jesus, He told her "Neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more (John 8:11)." Jesus could not condemn her since the sin of this woman was already on the back of Jesus (John 1:29). Jesus took away the sin of the world inclusive of this woman's sin. Though she committed sin, it was already on the back of Jesus. That's why she had no sin to be condemned. Jesus told her to go and sin no more. This doesn't mean she should go and try not to commit sin but it means that Jesus has become the Master of her life. He will lead her not to commit sin anymore. Initially, as much as she could try hard not to commit sin, she could only find herself committing sin because sin was her master (Romans 7:17). Spiritual life is not about me being at work but Jesus being at work for me.
In John 10:7 Jesus is describing Himself as the door of the sheep. This means that for you to enter you must enter through Jesus. In Exodus, the tabernacle is a shadow image of Jesus. People used to solve their sin problem through the tabernacle. When they went to the tabernacle, their sin problem would be solved and they become free from sin. For you to enter the tabernacle, you had to get through the gate made with cloths of four different colours: blue, purple, scarlet and fine linen (Exodus 27:16). You had to enter through the gate orelse you are a thief. These colours represent Jesus in the gospel: Matthew describing Jesus as the King (Gospel of the Lion), Mark describing Jesus as the servant who came to serve as through His death (Gospel of ox), Luke describing Jesus who came to this earth as a human being (Gospel of man) to take away our sins
