Dear friends! We invite you to join us in a three-day trip to Yaroslavl and Rostov to celebrate Russian holiday of Maslenitsa. We'll visit all the landmarks of two beautiful ancient cities, take part in public festivals and, of course, eat lots of blini.

The name is derived from the ancient Slavic word "pir", meaning "feast". In former times, the dough for Russian pirogi was made predominantly of rye flour. Later it was mixed with wheat flour. In Russia pies are not just food — it is an ancient tradition connected with tea drinking and talking
