RO: Weekendul trecut am avut placerea sa organizam un hackathon de 24h (umm... realist cam 30h, de fapt) de Line Follower, impreuna cu NXP. Un weekend plin de lipituri, asamblare, (vibe?) coding, testare si voie buna.

Lasam pozele sa vorbeasca de la sine, dar vreau sa mentionam aprecierea profunda pt 2 aspecte:
1. Organizarea NXP, atat ca mentorat cat si ca resurse necesare
2. Organizarea si spiritul studentilor: Fiind 16 echipe si aprox ~50 de participants, mult hardware, bautura si mancare - s-a facut dezastru rapid. Cu toate astea, inainte de a incheia, s-au mobilizat toti participantii si am lasat probabil mai curat decat am gasit. E un exemplu bun de cat de usor se pot face lucrurile bine atunci cand 60 de oameni fac fiecare cate putin, fata de situatia opusa in care 2-3 oameni ar fi trebuit sa faca 60 de lucruri.

Multumim participantilor si felicitari tuturor, in special castigatorilor! Locurile finale au fost partajate in functie de timp, dar toate echipele au reusit sa termine traseul - task deloc trivial.

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of organizing a 24-hour (well… realistically closer to 30h) Line Follower hackathon together with NXP. A weekend full of soldering, assembly, (vibe?) coding, testing, and overall great vibes.

We’ll let the photos speak for themselves, but we want to highlight our deep appreciation for two things:

1. NXP’s support, both in terms of mentorship and the resources provided
2. The organization and spirit of the students: with 16 teams and almost 50 participants, lots of hardware, food, and drinks, things got messy quickly. Despite that, before wrapping up, everyone stepped in and we probably left the space cleaner than we found it. It’s a great example of how easy it is to do things right when 60 people each contribute a little, compared to the opposite scenario where 2-3 people would have to handle everything.

Thank you to all participants and congratulations to everyone-especially the winners! Final rankings were determined by time, but every team managed to complete the track, which is far from trivial.

Registration for Robochallenge Romania 2023 is open until October 15th
You must follow a few simple steps to register:

1. You will create an Account on http://robochallenge.ro/ and fill in the information for the admin of the account. You will receive a confirmation email.

2. Log in with your account on http://robochallenge.ro/ and add your team leader and team members using the section Members.

3. Using the section Robots, you will add your robots. Robot registration is free.

4. On the Shop section you can reserve the start/stop module, and you can select the amount you need.

The Start-Stop module is mandatory for all sumo and maze challenges. The module is used to start and stop the robots at the same time by the referee.

5. In the Check-out section you can see an overview of your registration.

Înscrierile pentru Robochallenge România 2023 sunt deschise până pe 15 octombrie
Trebuie să urmați câțiva pași simpli pentru a vă înregistra:

1. Creează-ți un cont pe http://robochallenge.ro/ și completează informațiile pentru administratorul contului. Veți primi un email de confirmare

2. Loghează-te cu contul creat pe http://robochallenge.ro/ și adaugă-ți coechipieri, folosind secțiunea Membrii.

3. Folosind secțiunea Roboți, este rândul roboților să fie înscriși.

4. De la secțiunea Shop, îți poți comanda/rezerva modulul de start-stop, bifând cantitatea dorită.

Modulul Start-Stop este folosit în mod obligatoriu în toate probele de Sumo și Labirint. Modulul este folosit pentru pornirea și oprirea roboților în același timp, de către arbitru.

5. La secțiunea Check-out poți vizualiza componența echipei, roboții înscriși, modulele de start-stop comandate/rezervate.
