est quality materials for my projects. It’s stupid to use cheap materials when you are going to invest a lot of time in a project. You can ruin an expensive piece of leather by not taking your time when working it but you cannot make a cheap piece of leather better even if you work 100 hours on it. I work alone and that’s why the process of making can take a lot of time. When I make a product i make it to last a lifetime possible several if the owner takes good care of the leather. The price of a handmade product is higher than that of a similar product made in a factory somewhere in the far east. Today’s thinking is based around consumption. The „big guys” on the market exploit this way of thinking, for example if my belt has a price tag of 40$ and the store belt has a 20$ price most people would buy the 20$ one without realising that next year they would need to buy another one, but if they would have spent another 20$ they would still have a quality product.
