This February brings an important milestone in Bulgarian urology, as Prof. Deyan Anakievski and his team at Heart and Brain Hospital reach 1,500 successful robotic-assisted urological procedures.
Prof. Anakievski is widely recognized as one of Bulgaria’s leading urology specialists, known for his clinical excellence and surgical precision. For more than five years, he has been advancing minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery using the da Vinci robotic platform, helping transform patient care standards in the region.

The achievement of 1,500 successful urological cases it reflects years of dedication, continuous learning, and trust built between surgeons, institutions, and patients.

In 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗱𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 were performed in Romania, up from 1,400 in 2023.

A crucial pillar of this growth is 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
