Most cases in my practice involve post-orthodontic composite restorations in adults. These may include minor occlusal adjustments, esthetic refinements, or subtle shape modifications to achieve better biological integration.

In this particular case, the main objectives were proximal closure and slight modification of the incisal margins. My workflow always starts with the proximal areas and finishes with the incisal margins.

The key instruments and materials used were:
• Sandblasting
• Flowable composite
• Enamel composite

In the end, small adjustments, but a clearly visible outcome.

One of our main concerns when reconstructing the anterior zone with composite is achieving integration with the tooth structure. Using a bevel in certain cases can help create a smoother transition between the material and the tooth. However, while it’s necessary in some situations, in others it may not be needed.

For example - in class 3 reconstruction if the destruction goes BEYOND the transition line, a bevel can be helpful.

What other approaches do you use to mask the color transition?

I found composite veneers to be more relaxing and less invasive when treating patients with wears and erosions.
