We are the first non-profit language center in Cluj-Napoca and, probably, in Romania. Our goal is to teach English and transform it into an asset in personal development training projects for children and youth at risk. We believe that everybody should have the same opportunities to get closer to the well paid job of their dreams, in this highly diversified labor market. Implicitly, the opportunit
ies we want to shape are to a better and valuable life for our young generation and for the community itself. The most wanted foreign language from our portfolio is English and that is why through our long-term project „English for all”, we develop and improve language skills for children at risk in the city area of Cluj-Napoca. We offer and activate by tutoring for groups and / or 1:1 sessions in foster care and day centers form Cluj. At the same time we organize special project based events like „The Sweet English Lesson”, hosted by Friandise bakery in november 2014 for the children from AFR (Asociația Familia Regăsită).We learned about food, about ingredients, we experimented by tasting the delicious cookies and pralines made by Friandise bakers. Next we have the „Thesaurus Wholesome Brunch” on the 1st of May at Casa pentru copiii străzii Aksza, where we invited Valentina Savu, technician nutritionist, founder of deliciisănătoase.ro who will delight us with her own original healthy recipes and also many volunteers from the local community. Following the campaign „Adaugă Culoare, adaugă valoare!„ (Add Color , add value!) in which we will raise money for the English Boot-camp that will take place in October this year. 30 of the kids from foster and daycare from Cluj-Napoca will participate and learn English by engaging in different activities we prepared, including creating a resume from scratch, and test interviews. Our activities are mainly supported by our own incomes (courses / own wages / tutoring activities for individuals and companies / translations) also the submission of forms representing 2% of the salary taxes and 20% from the companies income tax, form donations, different projects and the benevolent work of volunteers from the local and international community (EVS). Although our main activity is tutoring we develop and deliver soft skills training on demand for corporations like data presentation, dress code, business communication.
