A small series of new paintings with gem like proportions mirroring those of a postcard.

I was inspired by the image of a solitary tree, testament to the natural world, ever-changing with the cycle of the four seasons. There is a human bond with nature, the power of a wood or forest, the ever changing colours I saw with new eyes. This inspires our emotions and allows us to stop and reflect.
