Olympia Hall, London - One of the best places to be at for aviation exhibitions

''Some few years ago I walked for the first time on London's Hammersmith passing by Olympia's Hall imposing building. Despite having had my share of fairs and exhibitions mostly related to the tourism industry I still could not stop to wonder how it would be like to represent a company exhibiting in one of Europe's greatest exhibition hall.Less than two weeks ago I had finally put an end to my wonders and got the chance to witness Olympia all prepped up and organized for the Aircraft, Purchasing & Maintenance event of 2016.
Organizing for the event was not as difficult as expected thanks to the teams of professionals involved in the process and to our well prepared and approved budget providing us to take advantage of all opportunities extended by the organizers. Our contractors for the build-up and brake-down of the stand have proven their efficiency leaving us with few things to organize on site, while our local Romanian providers have completed successfully all the challenges that have appeared during the collaboration with the British partners.
The two days event did not leave much of freebies behind which leading us to believe that our choice was much appreciated by visitors and exhibitors alike and ultimately helped us in raising awareness in regards to the services and capabilities of our company. We have shared our stand with PART-147 organisation TQAS which has been providing for the training of our staff during the past year since its inauguration in 2015.
Walking around the hall we met representatives of OEMs, OEM parts suppliers, a majority of internationally established suppliers for materials, chemicals, parts and equipment, maintenance providers and few charity organizations collecting funds for various causes. Entertainment had its spot at AP&M too, as there were stands with car-drive simulators, a dedicated area for massage, and an interior design presentation having as main concept furniture built out of aircraft components and parts. We have presented our 1:200 scale plexiglas layout representing our hangar project due for construction this year and meant to supplement the dedicated slots for maintenance and painting especially.
The event and our visit to London did not lack in stresfull and funny incidents either. Some of us actually needed a massage afterwards...Despite our efforts to secure the position of the layout in the transportation crate it proved that the handling and transportation left only 25% of it standing. Being accustomed to apply preventive thinking we had packed up glue and stencils for on-spot adjustments. The re-building of the layout proved to be worthwhile as it was a major point of dialogue with some of our visitors.
All in all our presence at AP&M was a success and provided with many networking opportunities that will surely bring about the return on our investment for the event.
We are looking forward to being back in London for our next exhibition opportunity at AP&M.
