🇯🇵✨ The first week of our Erasmus+ mobility at Nagasaki University has been filled with learning, discovery, and meaningful intercultural experiences, offering our students valuable insights into both academic and everyday life in Japan.
📚 ☆ Our journey through Nagasaki's rich history and remarkable urban development was guided by one of the most passionate professors we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Through engaging lectures and an immersive field study of the city, Prof. Amaro revealed the stories, connections, and hidden layers behind Nagasaki's most significant landmarks, helping our students gain a deeper understanding of the city's unique identity.
🔍 ☆ Fieldwork also became an essential part of the learning experience. Building on their individual research projects, our students observed and documented various aspects of urban life in Nagasaki, including transportation systems, housing density, green spaces, disaster preparedness measures, indicators of population aging, and the complex relationship between the city and its mountainous landscape. 🏙️🌿⛰️ Mount Inasa Observatory provided the perfect starting point for these investigations, while also offering the opportunity to enjoy one of the world's most celebrated night views. 🌃✨
🤝 ☆ The weekend was dedicated to collaboration, intercultural exchange and cultural activities. Together with Japanese students, our participants worked on The Nagasaki Consultant project, engaging in meaningful discussions and teamwork that will serve as a foundation for future joint initiatives and academic collaborations. 🌏💡
📖🌸 The second week promises even more exciting experiences, discoveries, and research opportunities. Stay tuned for the next chapter of our Nagasaki journey!
