Bucharest RUNNING CLUB s-a înființat în anul 2007 și este organizator al evenimentelor de alergare stradală Bucharest Marathon, Bucharest Half Marathon și Bucharest 10k & Family Run.
Începând cu anul 2008, Bucureștiul a fost inclus în circuitul internațional al maratoanelor, alăturându-se, astfel, celorlalte capitale europene care găzduiesc astfel de competiții an de an.
