Shooters is not just an association of people with the same hobbies, but a lifestyle, an example of conduct and respect for the people, their guns and the competitions testing their skills. The Shooters Association communication platform will be defined from now on by 3 defining keywords: Gentlemen, Guns and Glory. Gentlemen - which speaks about its members, Guns – which speaks about fi****ms, and
Glory – which refers to contests and competitions in which the first two entities join their forces in such a strong and natural manner. They have really special preoccupations, which set them apart from the others. They share values such as: precision, respect for guns, strength of character and loyalty. The Shooters people are people of strong character, with self-respect and respect for the others, they are confident of themselves and of what they can achieve. Guns: It is obvious why we chose this communication base. Because all our passion, dedication and know-how go to these old comrades: our guns. A gun should be treated with admiration and respect. Glory: It also represents the contests we will organize in the future, by which the best of us will achieve glory proving they are a really good example to follow and that they have a word to say when it comes to the shooting sports. How we started:
Some while ago we reached the conclusion that it would be at least beneficial to create an environment where people with similar passions to ours can meet regularly and test their precision or tactic shooting sports skills. In September 2011, we started two championships of high caliber pistol shooting sports: the AR Precision and the Tactical Challenge. AR Precision is the precision shooting championships, Tactical Challenge being the one of tactical shooting / action shooting. How it will go on:
Considering the positive echo of the championships, we decided to widen the range of preoccupations in the field of the shooting sports, including the rifle shooting and the sports shooting and hunting shooting with smoothbore guns. In order to create an institutional environment for the organization of these events as well, we started the Shooters association. What does Shooters bring new? The large caliber shooting sports competitions in Romania have been taking place long before the Tactical Challenge and the AR Precision and they will certainly keep taking place outside the above mentioned environment. We are trying to create, with the help of our fans, an institutionalized environment where all the efforts combine. Shooters is a non-profit association entirely based on the support of the people passionate about this sport and on sponsorships. Objectives:
1. Drawing as many people practicing large caliber shooting sports as possible, in all the categories mentioned above. A higher number of sports people and shooting sports passionate people can only be beneficial from all points of view. Means: keep organizing AR Precision and initiating a rifle precision shooting sports championship, a shooting sport and hunting shooting with smoothbore guns championship. Tactical Challenge will be turned into a cup competition.
2. Drawing financers and sponsors, by proving that we represent an important critical mass, who, in their turn, will help us achieve the objective from item no. 1.
3. Initiating as many people passionate about large caliber shooting sports. This way, we will be regularly organizing the Shooters Evening, an event meant to familiarize as many people passionate about this sport as possible.
4. Creating a communication platform between the sportsmen and the shooting sports passionate people, among others by launching a web publication: The Shooters Magazine. The Shooters Magazine will be released monthly and will include articles of interest to the sportsmen and the people keen on the large caliber shooting sports.
5. Identifying and supporting high-performance sportsmen both financially and logistically in the field of large caliber shooting sports.
