According the International Journal of Health alcohol is the single most important public health challenge in Greenland, including high rates of binge drinking and harmful consumption, with approximately 40 percent of the population showing these patterns. The Government of Greenland, known as Naalakkersuisut with WHO has launched a project to develop recommendations for a new national alcohol policy, addressing a long-running public health challenge.
